This black electrolytic tinplate (tin coated steel) cap with a pulp/aluminum foil liner is typically used with glass bottles, jars and jugs.

This continuous threaded (CT) cap has a black exterior with a gold interior and gold knurled edge.

The pulp/aluminum foil liner is ideal in packaging hydrocarbon products, but should not be used with acids or alkalis. Because the foil liner is odor and taste resistant, this cap is also great for food applications.

Pulp and aluminum foil liners work great for non-acidic, non-alkaline products containing ingredients that readily affect varnish coatings, synthetic resins and wax coatings. With one side of the liner made from aluminum foil and the other from bleached kraft paper, pulp and aluminum foil liners are often used for cosmetic creams, vegetable oils and acetic brine. These liners offer good chemical resistance to organic solvents, oil and grease. Pulp and aluminum foil liners are not compatible with acids, alkalis and aqueous products.
